ON EVALUATION OF THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL ISOGEOMETRIC BEAM ELEMENT
The exact description of the arbitrarily curved geometries, including conic sections, is an undeniable advantage of isogeometric analysis (IGA) over standard finite element method (FEM).

Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.

Implicit equations of non-degenerate rational Bezier quadric triangles
In this paper we review the derivation of implicit equations for non-degenerate quadric patches in rational Bezier triangular form. These are the case of Steiner surfaces of degree two.

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Least squares fitting of conic sections with type identification by NURBS of degree two [PDF]
Fitting of conic sections is used in reflectometry, aircraft industry, metrology, computer vision, astronomy and propagation of sound waves [5]. So far numerical algorithms assume the type of the conic section to be known in advance.

GIT Compactifications of $M_{0,n}$ from Conics
We study GIT quotients parametrizing n-pointed conics that generalize the GIT quotients $(\mathbb{P}^1)^n//SL2$. Our main result is that $\overline{M}_{0,n}$ admits a morphism to each such GIT quotient, analogous to the well-known result of Kapranov for ...

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Isogeometric analysis of two-dimensional piezoelectric structures
The isogeometric analysis (IGA) that integrates Computer Aided Design(CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) is found so far the effectively numerical tool for the analysis of a variety of practical problems.
