There are two problems Analytical Geometry with facing anyone who studies this discipline: define the nature of the locus represented by the general equation 2do degree in two or three variables: That curve represents the plane? What surface is in space?

Hydrogen ion-induced surface damage of copper grids in RF ion sources for fusion NBI
During the operation of extracting hydrogen ions in NBI RF ion systems, the plasma grid is exposed to prolonged irradiation with low-energy hydrogen ions, leading to surface damage.

Uniqueness of asymptotically conical tangent flows
Singularities of the mean curvature flow of an embedded surface in R^3 are expected to be modelled on self-shrinkers that are compact, cylindrical, or asymptotically conical.

Polyhedral realisation of hyperbolic metrics with conical singularities on compact surfaces [PDF]
A Fuchsian polyhedron in hyperbolic space is a polyhedral surface invariant under the action of a Fuchsian group of isometries (i.e. a group of isometries leaving globally invariant a totally geodesic surface, on which it acts cocompactly).

Influence of grinding wheel parameters on the meshing performance of toroidal surface enveloping conical worm drive [PDF]
A new type of toroidal surface enveloping conical worm gearing is proposed in our recent work (Chongfei and Yaping, 2019b). According to its forming principle, the geometrical shape of the generating surface has an important influence on the geometry ...

Conical diffraction and the dispersion surface of hyperbolic metamaterials
Hyperbolic metamaterials are materials in which at least one principal dielectric constant is negative. We describe the refractive index surface, and the resulting refraction effects, for a biaxial hyperbolic metamaterial, with principal dielectric ...

Water droplet dynamics on bioinspired conical surfaces [PDF]
Cacti use the Laplace pressure gradient due to conical geometry as a mechanism for collecting water from fog. Bioinspired surfaces using conical geometry can be developed for water collection from fog for human consumption. A systematic study is presented which investigates the dynamics of water droplets on a bioinspired conical surface.

Intersecting Line of Conical Surface and Smoothly Blending of Two Tubes Whose Axes Are Non-Coplanar
We construct two conical surfaces which take non-coplanar lines as generatrix and rational Bezier curve as ridge-line, and prove that the intersecting line of conical surface has similar properties to Bezier curve.
