Energy transmission through conjugate heat transfer in arrow-finned double exchanger by executing FEM simulations

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
Conjugate heat transfer is crucial in enhancing the thermal efficiency of the systems used in power generation, refrigeration and chemical processing industries. Conjugate heat transfer is an interaction of heat conduction within solids and convection in

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Transient conjugate free convection within flexible enclosure having discrete heat source

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering
Transient conjugate free convection in flexible enclosure is examined numerically. Isoflux heat sources are mounted in a left wall of finite thermal conductivity while a right wall is assumed to be hyper-flexible.

Conjugate Mixed Convection of a Micropolar Fluid Over a Vertical Hollow Circular Cylinder

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering
This work conducts a numerical examination into the influence of a magnetic field and viscosity dissipation on the movement of a micropolar fluid over the surface of a vertical, hollow circular cylinder via conjugate mixed convection.

Enhancing Optoelectronic Properties in Phthalocyanine‐Based SURMOFs: Synthesis of ABAB Linkers by Avoiding Statistical Condensation with Tailored Building Blocks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Unique Performance Considerations for Printable Organic Semiconductor and Perovskite Radiation Detectors: Toward Consensus on Best Practice Evaluation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...
