Heat-transfer analysis of indirect moxibustion using unsteady conjugate heat-transfer solutions

Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, 2010
A conjugate heat-transfer problem in indirect moxibustion was analyzed by solving the problem of unsteady convective heat transfer coupled with conductive heat transfer. The interaction of a combustion-heated paper disk of moxa with the body and surrounding fluid was revealed by examining the body’s unsteady temperature distributions.

Conjugated Heat Transfer in Heat Spreaders With Micro-Channels

Volume 3: Gas Turbine Heat Transfer; Transport Phenomena in Materials Processing and Manufacturing; Heat Transfer in Electronic Equipment; Symposium in Honor of Professor Richard Goldstein; Symposium in Honor of Prof. Spalding; Symposium in Honor of Prof. Arthur E. Bergles, 2013
This work is aimed at the experimental verification of a recently proposed single domain formulation of conjugated conduction-convection heat transfer problems, which are often of relevance in thermal micro-systems analysis. The single domain formulation simultaneously models the heat transfer phenomena at both the fluid streams and the channels walls ...

Unsteady, Conjugated Duct Heat Transfer Solution with Wall Heating

Journal of Thermophysics and Heat Transfer, 2002
An analytical model for time-varying surface heat flux, consisting of two integrals, is used to solve for the wall temperature and fluid bulk mean temperature distributions as a function of axial position and time. This is done for a parallel plate duct with generation occurring in the duct walls. A solution is found using the Laplace transform for the

Conjugate heat transfer analysis of knitted fabric

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2017
The thermal properties of fabric have significant impact on thermal comfort of the wearers. This research work covers the development of geometrical models of plain weft knitted fabric structures and evaluation of the thermal properties by using the fluid surface interaction technique.

On conjugated problems of heat transfer

International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 1961
Abstract The paper deals with the simplest “conjugated” boundary value problems of heat transfer in which heat conduction equations are solved in common for a body with heat sources and for a liquid flowing round the body. The method of the asymptotic solution of integral equations occurring in conjugated problems is presented.

The conjugate heat transfer of the partially heated microchannels

Heat and Mass Transfer, 2007
In this paper, the conjugate heat transfer of the water flow inside the microtube (D i/D o = 0.1/03 and 0.1/0.5 mm) was investigated. The laminar regime was considered with Re up to 200, input heat transfer rate of Q 0 = 0.1 W and variable thermophysical properties of the water ...
