Remarks on the preceding paper by Crespo, Ivorra and Ramos on the stability of bioreactor processes

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this short note we indicate some improvement of an article published in this journal by Crespo, Ivorra and Ramos [6]. The techniques used are connected with several smoothing effects associated with linear partial differential operators which give

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Game Theoretic Approach to QoS Oriented Machine Learning Model Development Toward 5G Network Migration Planning

open access: yesIEEE Access
With the increasing number of connected devices, the demand for mobile data has grown exponentially. The existing legacy 4G/LTE network has been unable to meet the demands and keep up with the expectations in terms of speed, latency, number of connected ...

Hermitian composition operators on Hardy-Smirnov spaces

open access: yesConcrete Operators, 2017
Let Ω be an open simply connected proper subset of the complex plane and φ an analytic self map of Ω. If f is in the Hardy-Smirnov space defined on Ω, then the operator that takes f to f º φ is a composition operator.

Diffusion of R&D within the Australian Wine Industry

open access: yesPrometheus, 2002
The Australian wine industry's popular image as a leader in R&D can indeed be substantiated. Its oenological and viticultural innovation and technical expertise have set new international benchmarks.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Revenue requirements for mobile operators with ultra-high mobile broadband data traffic growth. [PDF]

open access: yes
Mobile broadband data access over cellular networks has been established as a major new service in just a few years. The mobile broadband penetration has risen from almost zero to between 10 and 15 per cent in Western European leading markets from 2007 ...

Riemann–Liouville Fractional Integral Form of Modified Baskakov-Type Operators: Approximation Properties and Statistical Convergence

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, a generalized sequence of Baskakov operators connected to the Riemann–Liouville fractional integral is introduced. These sequences of operators deal with smooth approximation behavior in a wider class, i.e., a class of measurable functions
