A new underwater camera trap for freshwater wildlife monitoring
Abstract Amphibians are among the most threatened groups of vertebrates worldwide and spend a significant part of their lifecycle in freshwater ecosystems. As for many freshwater organisms, monitoring their populations is limited by the lack of robust and standard methods applicable across large spatial scales.

Abstract Advancements in automated 3D scene reconstruction are essential for accurately capturing and documenting the current state of buildings and infrastructure. Traditional 3D reconstruction relies on laser scanning to obtain as‐built conditions, but this process is often labor‐intensive and time‐consuming.

New fluorescent optical antennas are realized and tested for diverse Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) applications. The fluorescent concentrator slabs, based on different organic fluorophores, convert and convey the digital data conveyed through intensity modulation of incoming light toward a small‐area photodiode.
