FlexBFT: A Flexible and Effective Optimistic Asynchronous BFT Protocol
Currently, integrating partially synchronous Byzantine-fault-tolerant protocols into asynchronous protocols as fast lanes represents a trade-off between robustness and efficiency, a concept known as optimistic asynchronous protocols.

FGF14 GAA Intronic Expansion in Unsolved Adult‐Onset Ataxia in the Care4Rare Canada Consortium
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Spinocerebellar ataxias (SCA) represent a clinically and genetically heterogeneous group of progressive neurodegenerative diseases with prominent cerebellar atrophy. Recently, a novel pathogenic repeat expansion in intron 1 of FGF14 was identified, causing adult‐onset SCA (SCA27B). We aimed to determine the proportion

A Unifying Hybrid Consensus Protocol
We introduce Unity, a new consensus algorithm for public blockchain settings. Unity is an eventual consistency protocol merging the Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) into a coherent stochastic process. It encompasses hardware and economic security without sacrificing availability, unpredictability and decentralization.

Validity and Reliability of Clinical and Patient‐Reported Outcomes in Multisystem Proteinopathy 1
ABSTRACT Objective Valosin‐containing protein (VCP)‐associated multisystem proteinopathy 1 (MSP1) is caused by variants in the VCP gene. MSP1 results in various phenotypes including progressive myopathy, Paget's disease of bone, frontotemporal dementia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and parkinsonism, among others.

Exploiting the Superposition Property of Wireless Communication for Max-Consensus Problems in Multi-Agent Systems [PDF]
This paper presents a consensus protocol that achieves max-consensus in multi-agent systems over wireless channels. Interference, a feature of the wireless channel, is exploited: each agent receives a superposition of broadcast data, rather than individual values.

Robustness and efficiency of voting consensus protocols within byzantine infrastructures
This paper investigates several voting consensus protocols with low computational complexity in noisy Byzantine infrastructures. Using computer simulations, we show that explicit randomization of the consensus protocol can significantly increase the ...

Specification of the Giskard Consensus Protocol
The Giskard consensus protocol is used to validate transactions and computations in the PlatON network. In this paper, we provide a rigorous specification of Giskard, suitable to serve as a reference in protocol implementation and in formal verification. Using our specification, we prove that the protocol guarantees several notable safety properties.

ABSTRACT Background Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD) can radiographically mimic multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). The disease hallmarks cortical lesion, central vein sign (CVS) and paramagnetic rim lesions identified in MS have not yet been comprehensively investigated in ...
