Simulation Models of the Evolution of Cooperation as Proofs of Logical Possibilities. How Useful Are They? [PDF]
This paper discusses critically what simulation models of the evolution of cooperation can possibly prove by examining Axelrod’s “Evolution of Cooperation” (1984) and the modeling tradition it has inspired.

Numerical investigation of oil injection in a Roots blower operated as expander [PDF]
The adoption of positive displacement machines as expanders in Organic Rankine Cycles (ORCs) is increasingly common, especially in the low to medium power range. At the same time, these devices often serve as compressor in Vapor-Compression Refrigeration

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

TSK Fuzzy Modeling with Nonlinear Consequences [PDF]
We propose to generalize TSK fuzzy model applying nonlinear functions in the rule consequences. We provide the model description and parameterization and discus the problem of model training and we recommend PSO for tuning parameters in membership functions and in nonlinear part of a rule consequence.
