Tradeoffs and win‐wins between large landscape conservation and wildlife viewing in protected areas
Wildlife conservation around protected areas is critical and costly, yet its beneficiaries—particularly protected area visitors who enjoy viewing wide‐ranging wildlife—rarely contribute towards landscape‐scale conservation. We characterize the importance

Defects Dynamic in Photo‐Excited CeO2 and their Influence on CO2 Photoreduction
X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy study under light excitation is presented to track the defect dynamic (Ce4+ to Ce3+) in CeO2. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy confirmed the key role of Ce3+ states in controlling charge and energy transfer across the CeO2‐dye molecule interface.

USING LAND AS A CONTROL VARIABLE IN DENSITY-DEPENDENT BIOECONOMIC MODELS [PDF]
The bioeconomic analysis of endangered species without consumptive values can be problematic when analysed with density-dependent models that assume a fixed environment size.

Arresting woodland bird decline in Australian agricultural landscapes: potential application of the European agri-environment model [PDF]
This paper considered the applicability of the European model of land stewardship payments, in particular its support for biodiversity conservation in agricultural landscapes, to an Australian context. More broadly, the research approach described in the

An advanced F‐doped and ─CN group co‐modified FCCN is developed. Due to the synergistic effects of co‐modification in promoting photogenerated exciton generation, enhancing charge kinetics, expanding active interfacial areas, and optimizing CO2 interfacial reactions, the FCCN photocatalyst demonstrates excellent catalytic performance and high ...

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Effect of Cathode Cooling in Three-Dimensional Simulations of an Atmospheric Pressure Glow Discharge
The Atmospheric Pressure Glow Discharge (APGD) is a relatively simple and versatile plasma source used in a wide range of applications. Active cooling of the cathode can effectively mitigate instabilities, leading to glow-to-arc transitions.

DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Revisiting Maine’s lobster commons: rescaling political subjects [PDF]
Calls for cross-scalar theoretical and methodological approaches are not new to commons scholarship. Such efforts might be hastened by channelling poststructuralist and critical theory perspectives through the geographic subfield of political ecology ...
