Stoichiometry‐Programmed MXenes via Precursor Engineering for High‐Performance EMI Shielding and Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Precursor carbon stoichiometry programs internal strain and oxygen substitution in Ti3AlCxO2‐x, deterministically switching Ti3CxO2‐xTz MXenes between highly aligned 2D nanosheets and spontaneous 1D nanoscrolls. This synthesis‐stage architecture control enables ultrathin X/W‐band EMI shielding with outstanding mass‐normalized performance and bending ...

Pointwise estimates of solutions to conservation laws with nonlocal dissipation-type terms

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
This article concerns the Cauchy problem of conservation laws with nonlocal dissipation-type terms in R^3. By using Green's function and the time-frequency decomposition method, we study global classical solutions and their long time behavior ...

Inverse problem for a physiologically structured population model with variable-effort harvesting

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2017
We consider the inverse problem of determining how the physiological structure of a harvested population evolves in time, and of finding the time-dependent effort to be expended in harvesting, so that the weighted integral of the density, which may be ...

Humid‐Air Condensation Heat Transfer on Hierarchical Structured Superhydrophobic Graphite Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Humid‐air condensation on graphite composites shows that making a surface superhydrophobic is not sufficient to enhance heat transfer. A hierarchical CuO/lauric‐acid coating yields spherical droplets but promotes Wenzel‐type pinning and adds effective thermal resistance under operation.

Stability of entropy solutions for Levy mixed hyperbolic-parabolic equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2011
We analyze entropy solutions for a class of Levy mixed hyperbolic-parabolic equations containing a non-local (or fractional) diffusion operator originating from a pure jump Levy process.

Mitochondria‐Specific Protein Delivery by Protease‐Triggered Release in Plants with Single‐Walled Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Polymer‐coated carbon nanotubes were engineered as protease‐responsive nanocarriers for protein delivery in intact plants. GFP cargo can be released by cytosolic phytaspase cleavage and subsequently targeted to mitochondria via an N‐terminal sequence, enabling controlled intracellular protein delivery without tissue damage and demonstrating stable ...

Passive Shape‐Adaptive Fluidic Interface for Enhanced Skin‐Sensor Coupling in Wearable Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents a passive fluidic interface for wearable biosensors that adapts to static and dynamic body shape changes to maintain consistent skin contact. Flexible, fluid‐filled pouches redistribute pressure from high‐load areas to regions requiring improved contact, enhancing signal quality and comfort in a compact, low‐energy design for ...

Versatile Control of Spectral Emissivity in Mid‐Infrared Metasurfaces via Silicon Microstructuring

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A family of metasurfaces is obtained very simply, solely through the structuration of a single‐crystal silicon surface, without any other material involved. Based on the infrared plasmonic behavior of highly doped silicon, further control of surface topography by micro‐ and nano‐structuration is found to enable an avenue of options toward tailoring its

A coupled system of mKdV-KdV equations with damping

open access: yesApplied Mathematics in Science and Engineering
In this paper, we study the influence of a damping term on the dynamics of a coupled Korteweg–de Vries type system, namely the mKdV–KdV system, posed on the real line.

Functionals with values in the non‐Archimedean field of Laurent series and their applications to the equations of elasticity theory

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2003
Functionals with values in Non‐Archimedean field of Laurent series applied to the definition of generalized solution (in the form of shock wave) of the Hopf equation and equations of elasticity theory.
