A domain reference ontology for design science research knowledge bases [PDF]
Knowledge bases play an important role in Design Science Research (DSR). Although some related work exists, no domain reference ontology is available for reuse and cumulative development of design knowledge.

Using mass cytometry, we analyzed serial blood samples from patients with relapsed epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) treated with oleclumab–durvalumab combination immunotherapy in the NSGO‐OV‐UMB1/ENGOT‐OV30 trial. Our analysis identified potential predictive, monitoring, and response biomarkers detectable through liquid biopsy. These findings facilitate

On the cost-complexity of multi-context systems [PDF]
Multi-context systems provide a powerful framework for modelling information-aggregation systems featuring heterogeneous reasoning components. Their execution can, however, incur non-negligible cost. Here, we focus on cost-complexity of such systems.

Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.

Towards Large-scale Inconsistency Measurement
We investigate the problem of inconsistency measurement on large knowledge bases by considering stream-based inconsistency measurement, i.e., we investigate inconsistency measures that cannot consider a knowledge base as a whole but process it within a ...

Knowledge Audit Framework [PDF]
KAF consists of a process and some templates to guide the planning and execution of audits of knowledge resources, with emphasis on sharing. KAF is based on methodological blueprint provided by the Data Audit Framework (DAF)conceived by the JISC-funded DAFD project.KAF enables organisations to find out what knowledge resources are associated with the ...

Molecular and functional profiling unravels targetable vulnerabilities in colorectal cancer
We used whole exome and RNA‐sequencing to profile divergent genomic and transcriptomic landscapes of microsatellite stable (MSS) and microsatellite instable (MSI) colorectal cancer. Alterations were classified using a computational score for integrative cancer variant annotation and prioritization.

Commonsense Knowledge + BERT for Level 2 Reading Comprehension Ability Test [PDF]
Commonsense knowledge plays an important role when we read. The performance of BERT on SQuAD dataset shows that the accuracy of BERT can be better than human users. However, it does not mean that computers can surpass the human being in reading comprehension. CommonsenseQA is a large-scale dataset which is designed based on commonsense knowledge.

Stochastic variation in the FOXM1 transcription program mediates replication stress tolerance
Cellular heterogeneity is a major cause of drug resistance in cancer. Segeren et al. used single‐cell transcriptomics to investigate gene expression events that correlate with sensitivity to the DNA‐damaging drugs gemcitabine and prexasertib. They show that dampened expression of transcription factor FOXM1 and its target genes protected cells against ...

The study evaluated the function and therapeutic implications of PRAME in basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The findings demonstrate that PRAME impairs keratinocyte differentiation pathways. Furthermore, PRAME impairs anticancer response to retinoid compounds in BCC and SCC cells.
