A synthesis of fuzzy rule-based system verification. [PDF]

open access: yes
The verification of fuzzy rule bases for anomalies has received increasing attention these last few years. Many different approaches have been suggested and many are still under investigation.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Verification of temporal consistency constraints in the evolution of software for intelligent unmanned systems driven by model checking

open access: yesScientific Reports
As the application of intelligent unmanned systems in open environments becomes increasingly widespread, temporal consistency in the system’s dynamic evolution process has become a critical issue for determining whether the system is safe and reliable ...

An Efficient Design-to-Verification Framework for CubeSat ADCS: Application to INHA RoSAT

open access: yesAerospace
CubeSats are increasingly adopted for space missions due to their low cost and short development cycles. However, their attitude determination and control systems (ADCS) often suffer from limited verification environments and constrained hardware ...

Consistency verification of deductive database schemes

open access: yes, 1993
A deductive database scheme consists of a set of base predicate schemes and a set of possibly non Horn clauses. A database can be considered as a particular instance of a given scheme. Clearly, a property that must be held by any scheme is logical consistency.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

A tool-supported approach to inter-tabular verification. [PDF]

open access: yes
The use of decision tables to verify KBS has been advocated several times in the V&V literature. However, one of the main drawbacks of those system is that they fail to detect anomalies which occur over rule chains. In a decision table based context this

BeDCV: Blockchain-Enabled Decentralized Consistency Verification for Cross-Chain Calculation

open access: yes, 2022
With the increase of data stored on the blockchain, the efficiency of storage and calculation of blockchain has gradually become a bottleneck restricting the development of blockchain. By storing data on multiple chains, blockchains can request data from

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...
