Vulnerability to depression, mild depression, and degree of self-schema consolidation

Motivation and Emotion, 1985
The present study investigated the degree of consolidation of self-schema content in mildly depressed individuals, individuals cognitively vulnerable to depression (but currently nondepressed), and nonvulnerable-nondepressed controls. All three groups of subjects were presented with pairs of adjectives involving one depressed and one nondepressed ...

A method to estimate the degree of consolidation of a non‐homogeneous clay layer

International Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, 1978
AbstractA method is derived to estimate the degree of consolidation of a saturated, non‐homogeneous clay layer. In this method, the diffusion equation govering the dissipation of pore water pressure is transformed so that the pore water pressure can be expressed by a Fourier series.

Theoretical Equations of Vertical and Radial Consolidation by Equating Degrees of Consolidation by Settlement Analysis and Dissipation of Pore Pressure

Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, 2011
Degree of consolidation, U, is defined in two ways: (1) by settlement analysis and (2) by dissipation of pore pressure. Equations of vertical and radial consolidations are derived by equating the above two U. The new equations are compared with the existing equations of vertical and radial consolidations.

Evaluation of Consolidation Degree from CPTu using Rahardjo (2016) Method – Case Study of Consolidating Soil in East Kalimantan

Indonesian Geotechnical Journal, 2023
A geotechnical investigation comprised 13 CPTu and 23 dissipation testing were performed on a site in East Kalimantan due to landslide triggered by 15 to 30m thick soft clay underlying 75m high overburden embankment. The investigation covers an area of about 250m x 275m wide on the area next to the toe of the embankment.

New Field System for Measuring Degree of Consolidation of Concrete During Vibration

Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 1997
Significant progress has been made in the development of a field prototype device for slipform pavers to measure the degree of consolidation of concrete during vibration. The device operates on the principle that since air is an insulator and fresh concrete is a conductor, electrical impedance measurements can indicate the release of air during the ...

The influence of the degree of stress anisotropy during consolidation on the strength of cohesive powdered materials

Powder Technology, 1985
Abstract The strength of an assembly of cohesive particles generally depends upon the magnitude of the preceding load, i.e. the consolidation load. One may further expect different effects from an isotropic versus an anisotropic stress distribution during consolidation. Molerus has presented a theoretical model that incorporates this effect of stress

Evaluation of the Degree of Consolidation of Coastal Reclaimed Lands Based on Settlement Data and CPTu

2019
Reclamation works in coastal area has started to be done a lot in Indonesia due to the increasing of land requirements caused by population growth. There are some important geotechnical problem in reclamation works to be concerned such as the density of compacted fill material related to the liquefaction potential due to the earthquake, the slope ...
