A Constant Market Share Analysis of Spanish Goods Exports [PDF]

open access: yesOECD Economics Department Working Papers, 2015
The constant market share analysis framework is used to decompose changes in Spain’s share of the global market for goods exports into competitiveness and structural effects (i.e. the impact of specialisation, either in product or geographical terms) over 1996-2013.

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

A Gravity Model for Indonesian Canned Tuna Exports to the European Union Market: An Application of PPML Estimator

open access: yesSriwijaya International Journal of Dynamic Economics and Business, 2019
In this study, we examine the determinants of Indonesian canned tuna export to the European Union (EU) market through a gravity model approach. This paper employs a gravity model approach through Poisson Pseudo-Maximum Likelihood (PPML) estimation.

Lewis revisited : tropical polities competing on the world market 1830-1938 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Since the seminal work by W.A. Lewis, exports of primary products have been deemed the main or sole source of growth in tropical countries before the Great Depression. This conventional wisdom, however, relies on very limited evidence.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Competitiveness of Malaysian Fisheries Exports: A Constant Market Share Analysis

open access: yesMalaysian Journal of Economic Studies, 2021
Malaysia, one of the global major fish producers, has highly traded fisheries products given its many water bodies. Nonetheless, it faces a serious fish trade deficit, implying that the Malaysian fisheries sector might lose its competitiveness in the global market.

Multi‐Ion Doping Controlled CEI Formation in Structurally‐Stable High‐Energy Monoclinic‐Phase NASICON Cathodes for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates the synthesis pathway, morphological feature, and thermodynamic feasibility of entropy‐engineered NASICON cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries. Abstract Overcoming the energy density limitations of sodium‐ion batteries (NIBs) requires innovative strategies to optimize cathode materials.
