Blind adapted, pre-whitened constant modulus algorithm
We examine the use of a blind adaptive "pre-whitening" filter to precede an equalizer adapted by the constant modulus algorithm (CMA). The idea is based on results presented in which the use of a (fixed, or non-adaptive) pre-whitening filter provides an isometry (i.e. geometry preserving transformation) between the combined channel-equalizer (or global

Combined 2D and 3D X‐ray scattering imaging is used to analyse nanostructural properties in the inferior and superior cortex of 78 human femoral necks from 44 donors. The methodology allows for increased interpretation of nanostructure in a statistically relevant dataset, revealing nanostructural differences in anatomical locations critical to clinical

A multifunctional bioactive PEEK‐based implant (Mn@p/MBG‐SPEEK) is engineered to combat implant‐associated infections while promoting osteogenesis. The hybrid surface activates PI3K/Akt/mTOR and AP‐1 signaling pathways for osteogenic differentiation, while Mn coordination induces electronic coupling that narrows the HOMO‐LUMO energy gap and enhances ...

Field‐programmed anisotropy imparts material‐level intelligence to soft composites. Magnetic torque dynamics drive magneto‐piezoelectric nanowires from random dispersion into deterministic axial alignment. The resulting hierarchical percolation networks confine electromechanical coupling to specific axes and intrinsically decouple superposed force ...

A Wireless, Passive Multimodal Wearable Sensor With Decoupled Sensing Capabilities
A wireless passive multimodal electronic skin is presented for the simultaneous perception of pressure, humidity, and odor through a frequency‐divided LC resonator array. The decoupled sensing architecture suppresses cross‐interference and enables independent signal readout under superimposed stimuli while maintaining high stability.

Blind Feedforward Timing Estimation for Constant-Modulus Signalling in Time-Varying Fading Channels
A simple low-complexity algorithm is proposed for blind feedforward symbol timing estimation in time-varying flat-fading channels, assuming constant modulus signalling. Its important properties are brought out using asymptotic analysis.
