Atomic Precision CoCu Heterodimers with Pseudo‐D3h Symmetry Enable Tandem Nitrate Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Co─Cu heterodimer anchored on nitrogen‐doped graphene oxide substrate facilitates electrochemical nitrate reduction in alkaline medium. Co site promotes water dissociation to supply a proton, while Cu sites enhance nitrate adsorption and activation.

Glassy Dielectric Response in Tb_2NiMnO_6 Double Perovskite with Similarities to a Griffiths Phase

open access: yes, 2013
Frequency-dependent and temperature-dependent dielectric measurements are performed on double perovskite Tb$_2$NiMnO$_6$. The real ($\epsilon_1$) and imaginary ($\epsilon_2$) parts of dielectric permittivity show three plateaus suggesting dielectric ...

Harnessing Transformation of Metal‐Ligand Coordination in Dinuclear Ni(II)‐Schiff Base Coordination Polymer for Promoting Electrochemical Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ni–Schiff base coordination polymer [Ni2(tmd)2]n was synthesized and applied to enhance alkaline OER by virtue of its transformation between 5‐ and 6‐coordinate Ni sites along with the spin state exchange. ABSTRACT One of the major challenges in overall water splitting is improving the sluggish kinetics of the anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER ...

Inelastic electron and light scattering from the elementary electronic excitations in quantum wells: Zero magnetic field

open access: yes, 2012
The most fundamental approach to an understanding of electronic, optical, and transport phenomena which the condensed matter physics (of conventional as well as nonconventional systems) offers is generally founded on two experiments: the inelastic ...

Scalable Wheat Bran‐Algae Composites for Edible Electronics with Spray‐Coated Food‐Grade Conductive Inks

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A fully edible wheat bran–algae substrate is fabricated through scalable mould‐compression and spray‐coating, enabling robust, food‐grade platforms for sustainable electronics. A chitosan barrier improves water resistance and ink compatibility, while activated‐carbon conductive films form uniform electrodes with Ohmic behaviour.

Molecular Electrocatalyst Enables Direct Electrochemical Capture and Conversion of CO2 up to Atmospheric Concentration

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A molecular manganese electrocatalyst enables the direct electrochemical capture and conversion of dilute CO2 (1% – 0.2%) to CO with nearly unit Faradaic efficiency, achieving high efficiency even at atmospheric concentrations (420 ppm). By bypassing energy‐intensive pre‐concentration steps, this integrated approach highlights a sustainable pathway for

Microstructural Insights Into LATP Ceramic Nanofibers for High-Performance Quasi-Solid-State Batteries. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
A sustainable electrospinning technique produces LATP ceramic nanofibers that form continuous Li⁺‐conductive pathways within composite solid electrolytes. The resulting quasi‐solid‐state batteries combine the strength of ceramic nanofibers with the flexibility of polymers, delivering high critical current density and excellent rate performance at room ...

Impact of Extrusion and Direct Calendering on Dry‐Coated Cathodes for Sulfidic All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a parameter optimization for a scalable dry coating process of sulfidic ASSB cathodes (82 wt% CAM, 0.5 wt% PTFE binder) in dry room atmosphere. High‐shear extruder mixing and calendering are used to form a cathode film based on PTFE fibrillation.
