Performance of a constant phase element (CPE) sensor to detect adulteration in cow-milk with whey
2009 IEEE Sensors, 2009In this paper, the performance of a constant phase element (CPE) sensor has been studied for detecting adulteration of cow-milk with whey. Addition of whey in milk increases its volume and makes it acidic but the percentage of lactose content does not change significantly.

The dispersive behaviour observed at rough electrodes can be described by a constant phase element (CPE) of the form Z(ω) = K(jω)−α, where α has a value between 0·5 (porous electrodes) and unity (ideally flat electrodes). It is shown experimentally, that α unequivocally reflects the roughness of solid electrodes and is independent of the electrode ...

Abstract Several issues concerning constant-phase element (CPE) behavior in the impedance response of films with a distributed resistivity are addressed here. To carry it out we consider two theoretical distributed models that account for exact CPE behavior and which provided us with the phenomenology of power-law frequency responses usually found in

Abstract The derivation of mathematical models accounting for the variation of physical properties along the thickness of thin systems such as oxide films, organic coatings and biological tissues, has been a challenging problem addressed for decades.
