Facilitated Phase Transformation for Improved Performance of Earth‐Abundant Disordered Rocksalt Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
As demand for Li‐ion batteries grows, Mn‐rich disordered rocksalt (DRX) oxides offer a sustainable, low‐cost alternative to scarce Ni and Co. During cycling, Mn‐rich DRX materials transform into a partial spinel‐like phase (𝛿) that improves rate capability and capacity.

Joule self‐heating enabled oxygen transport and coupled methane reactions in a La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3‐δ hollow fiber membrane reactor

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Mixed‐conducting ceramic hollow fiber membranes are a versatile platform for oxygen separation, value‐added chemical production, and oxy‐combustion. Because oxygen permeation is thermally activated, these systems typically rely on bulky, energy‐intensive furnaces that suffer from low efficiency and large thermal inertia.

Low‐Pressure CO2 and Aromatic Recognition by Interlayer Adaptive Crystal of π‐Hole‐Functionalized Zn(II) Coordination Sheets

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
A perfluorinated Zn(II) coordination sheet operates as an interlayer adaptive crystal (LAC), where a small ultramicropore acts as an electrostatic trigger. Guest‐induced breathing driven by fluorinated π‐hole surfaces enables highly selective inclusion of CO2 over N2 and CH4, and benzene over other six‐membered hydrocarbons, beyond the intrinsic ...
