The propagating fracture of constant shape
Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids, 1964Abstract The propagating tensile fracture is treated as a steady-state dynamic mixed boundary-value problem in which the displacement at the fracture surface is specified. The displacement is made to correspond to an ellipse of constant shape at all velocities of fracture propagation.

Propagation constant of a transmission line
Electrical Engineering, 1932Starting with the logarithmic variation of voltage and current along a transmission line, a derivation of the propagation constant is given in this article, depending only upon the application of Kirchoff's laws and simple hyperbolic trigonometry.

Broadband constant‐coefficient propagators
Geophysical Prospecting, 2005ABSTRACTThe phase error between the real phase shift and the Gazdag background phase shift, due to lateral velocity variations about a reference velocity, can be decomposed into axial and paraxial phase errors. The axial phase error depends only on velocity perturbations and hence can be completely removed by the split‐step Fourier method. The paraxial
