Since lithium-ion batteries have been used in many energy storage applications, a well compensated capacitive power transfer (CPT) system should provide the load with an efficient charging profile consisting of constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV), while maintaining nearly unity power factor and soft switching of power switches ...

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2020
Load-independent output characteristics of inductive power transfer (IPT) systems are increasingly popular in battery charging. This paper proposes a novel variable-parameter T-circuit (VT) for an IPT system charging a battery with constant current (CC) or constant voltage (CV) output.

ON constant output voltage control method for Buck-Boost type SMR
2010 International Conference on Educational and Information Technology, 2010In this paper, the novel voltage control method for the Buck-Boost type SMR(Switched Mode Rectifier) is reported on theoretical, simulated and experimental bases, when the SMR is operated under the Discontinuous Current Mode (DCM) and also the main semiconductor switch of SMR is operated at the fixed frequency with the fixed switching pulse pattern ...

This paper presents a novel design theory for radio frequency (RF) inverters. We project the zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) and zero-voltage-derivative-switching (ZVDS) load impedances on the Smith chart, and find out that their loci exhibit geodesic arcs.

A Load-Independent Wireless Power Transfer System With Multiple Constant Voltage Outputs
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2020A novel wireless power transfer (WPT) system is proposed to power the gate drivers in a multilevel converter to achieve a high insulation level. There are two requirements for the proposed WPT system. First, the WPT system should contain multiple outputs, each corresponding to one gate driver.

A Closed-loop Ultrasonic Wireless Power Transfer System with Constant Output Voltage
2019 22nd International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2019Ultrasonic wireless power transfer (UWPT) is a reasonable method to power loads in enclosed metal container. For the existing open-loop UWPT system, the output voltage varies with different loads. In this paper, a closed-loop UWPT system with constant output voltage for different load resistances is proposed. Two pairs of piezoelectric transducers with

A novel resonant network for a WPT system with constant output voltage
2017 IEEE Conference on Energy Internet and Energy System Integration (EI2), 2017The primary side series-secondary side series (SS) compensation network of a wireless power transfer system has a simple structure. But its output voltage changes with different load resistances. This limits its applications in certain circumstances need a stable output voltage.

The X-ray Output of a Constant Potential High-Voltage Apparatus
The British Journal of Radiology, 1934Previous investigations of high voltage X rays have been extended to a detailed consideration of the output of an X-ray tube up to 370 K.V. A number of typical output curves are given. The theories of the intensity distribution in the continuous X-ray spectrum leading to the formula I = KV2 for the energy output of a tube are briefly discussed.

Determining coil distance of cross-segmented IPT system for constant output voltage
2017 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2017Inductive Power Transfer has long been considered as an advanced traction power supply technology for Electric Rail Transits. Primary coils are often segmented to reduce resistive power loss. When switching between segments, the secondary pick-up voltage may be vulnerable to large fluctuations because of mutual inductance variation and poor timing of ...
