The constellation design problem

Annales Des Télécommunications, 1995
We introduce here a new approach for designing constellations (signal sets) at high signal-to-noise ratio. It is based on a geometric formulation of the design problem. The sphere packing formulation for the Gaussian case stems as an example and the results that this approach gives on fading channels are surveyed.

Multi-layer LEO Satellite Constellation Design for Seamless Global Coverage

Global Communications Conference, 2021
In this paper, we investigate the traffic-sensitive multi-layer low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-terrestrial network. Massive terrestrial user access to the core network is realized via the backhaul supported by multi-layer LEO satellites. The ultra-dense

Quick-response Microsatellite Constellation Design

2020 IEEE 4th Information Technology, Networking, Electronic and Automation Control Conference (ITNEC), 2020
In response to the task of detecting the target sea area in an emergency, a concept of building a quick-response mi-crosatellite constellation was proposed. Firstly, the two central purposes of the design of micro-satellite constellations were defined, that is, to carry out detailed detection under emergency conditions and to conduct regular long-term ...
