An Effective Constellation Design for Concentration Shift Keying in Molecular Communication Systems

IEEE Internet of Things Journal
In this article, we study a previously overlooked work of designing the constellation for concentration shift keying (CSK) in diffusion-based molecular communication (MC) systems, considering the adverse effects of signal-dependent noise and intersymbol ...

The RADARSAT constellation payload design

2007 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2007
The Canadian Space Agency completed the definition phase of the RADARSAT Constellation, a constellation of three satellites that will ensure C-band data continuity with RADARSAT-2. The first satellite is scheduled to enter in operation toward the end of the RADARSAT-2 mission, for a full implementation of the constellation in 2014-15.

A Multiarea On-Demand Classification Constellation Design for Satellite IoT

IEEE Internet of Things Journal
As an indispensable part of the future 6G communication system, Satellite Internet of Things (SIoT) plays a vital role in global communication. However, the communication requirements of users, the manufacturing and launching costs of satellites, and the

Constellation Design for Cooperative Communication

2009 43rd Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems, 2009
In this paper, a single-hop single-relay system with a direct link between the source and the destination is considered when the relay operates in the half-duplex mode. Motivated by the concept of signal space diversity, this paper introduces signal space cooperation, in which cooperation between the source and the relay is achieved using a novel ...

Constellation Topology Design for Maximum Capacity of LEO Satellite Networks

IEEE Transactions on Communications
The low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite constellation networks play a vital role due to their potential to provide high throughput in response to the escalating demands of future communication networks.

Design of multidimensional signal constellations

IEE Proceedings - Communications, 2003
An algorithmic technique intended for signal constellation design for an N-dimensional Euclidean signal space is presented. Such signals are used for reliable and efficient digital communications on an additive white Gaussian noise channel. The minimum Euclidean distance between signals and the constellation-constrained capacity are used as performance

Three-Dimensional Probabilistically Shaped CAP Modulation Based on Constellation Design Using Regular Tetrahedron Cells

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2020
This article proposes a novel 3-D probabilistically shaped carrier-less amplitude phase (3D-PS-CAP) modulation based on constellation design using regular tetrahedron cells, which is capable of being applied in short reach communication.

Optical Navigation Satellite Constellation Design

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
Satellite constellation has incomparable superiority compared to the single satellite, and can provide effective global intermittent or continuous coverage. This paper designs a laser navigation satellite constellation by simulating the coverage properties of single satellite.

Constellation Design via Capacity Maximization

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2007
Traditional constellations are uniformally spaced. By giving up uniform spacing, constellations can be designed to have larger joint (i.e. overall) capacity or parallel decoding capacity. In this paper non-uniformally spaced (i.e. 'geometrically' shaped) constellations are designed to maximize either of these quantities.

Constellation design for spatial modulation

2015 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2015
Conventional amplitude-phase modulations (APMs) are designed such that the minimum Euclidean distance between constellation points is maximized. Unlike these modulations, the error performance of spatial modulation (SM) is not only a function of the Euclidean distances but also the energy of each symbol, i.e. constellation point.
