Dynamics of Metal–Metal Bond Dissociation in Pd–Pd and Ni–Ni Complexes: Reorganization and Redistribution Reactions of the Metalloradicals

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
PNP‐stabilized dinuclear [PdI]2 and [NiI]2 complexes with unsupported metal–metal bonds may serve as reservoir forms for homolytically generated metalloradical species, and a quantitative investigation of the metal–metal bond dissociation dynamics has been achieved.

Water‐Mediated 1,7‐Palladium Aryl‐to‐Aryl Migration in an Unusual Aryne Trimerization Enables the Synthesis of Multihelicenes with Profoundly Hindered Stereogenic Axes

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
In the presence of a Pd0 catalyst, large π‐extended arynes trimerize in an unusual manner to forge extremely compact and strained chiral benzenoids. This new trimerization reaction involves a 1,7‐Pd isomerization, a rare and poorly understood process that is elucidated.

Large Language Model in Materials Science: Roles, Challenges, and Strategic Outlook

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Large language models (LLMs) are reshaping materials science. Acting as Oracle, Surrogate, Quant, and Arbiter, they now extract knowledge, predict properties, gauge risk, and steer decisions within a traceable loop. Overcoming data heterogeneity, hallucinations, and poor interpretability demands domain‐adapted models, cross‐modal data standards, and ...
