Resource-constrained project scheduling for timely project completion with stochastic activity durations. [PDF]

open access: yes
We investigate resource-constrained project scheduling with stochastic activity durations. Various objective functions related to timely project completion are examined, as well as the correlation between these objectives. We develop a GRASP-heuristic to

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...

Constrained via minimization for three-layer routing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
[[abstract]]The previous constrained via minimization problem for VLSI previous three-layer routing is the problem of deining which previous layers can be used for previous routing the wire segments in the interconnections of nets so that the number ...

Workload-Ahead-Driven Online Energy Minimization Techniques for Battery-Powered Embedded Systems with Time-Constraints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper proposes a new online voltage scaling (VS) technique for battery-powered embedded systems with real-time constraints. The VS technique takes into account the tasks execution times and discharge currents to further reduce the battery charge ...

Some results for fixed point theorem on hyperbolic metric space and application to constrained minimization problems

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
The focus of this article is to present a novel iterative scheme and to establish the △-convergence theorem for the Reich-Suzuki type nonexpansive mappings in hyperbolic metric spaces.

Creating Ti–Fe α/β Alloys by Diffusion‐Driven Solid‐State Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study proposes making alloys containing fast diffusing elements that are difficult to produce by ingot metallurgy, by diffusion‐driven solid‐state HIP processing of elemental powders and low‐temperature homogenisation. Here, novel Fe‐Ti α–β alloys are formed having fine α–β lamellae, a small β prior grain size without significant intermetallics ...

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.
