Weaker Constraint Qualifications in Maximal Monotonicity

Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization, 2007
We give a sufficient condition, weaker than the others known so far, that guarantees that the sum of two maximal monotone operators on a reflexive Banach space is maximal monotone.

General constraint qualifications in nondifferentiable programming

Mathematical Programming, 1990
A general inequality-constrained minimization program is considered on a real normed space E. The constraints are given by a finite number of inequalities and an explicit set C. The paper deals with necessary conditions of Kuhn-Tucker type for a local minimum.

Convex Inequalities Without Constraint Qualification nor Closedness Condition, and Their Applications in Optimization

, 2010
Given two convex lower semicontinuous extended real valued functions F and h defined on locally convex spaces, we provide a dual transcription of the relation ⋆$$ F\left( 0,\cdot \right) \geq h\left( \cdot \right) .

On constraint qualifications in nonlinear programming

Naval Research Logistics Quarterly, 1970
In this paper we examine the relationship between two constraint qualifications developed by Abadie and Arrow, Hurwicz, and Uzawa. A third constraint qualification is discussed and shown to be weaker than either of those mentioned above.
