Biofunctionalization of ADA‐GEL Hydrogels Based on the Degree of Cross‐Linking and Polymer Concentration Improves Angiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The biocompatibility of alginate dialdehyde (ADA) and gelatin (GEL) hydrogels cross‐linked with human transglutaminase (hTG) is demonstrated in vivo with a high degree of stability and angiogenic potential. The additional enzymatic cross‐linker hTG and the increased concentration improve stability and angiogenic potential. The X‐ray microscopy (XRM) is

Designing for Degradation: Transient Devices Enabled by (Nano)Cellulose

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Recent progress in transient devices enabled by (nano)cellulosic materials is reviewed. Transiency mechanisms, advantages of nanocelluloses, and a suite of applications are discussed. A circular thinking approach coupled with life cycle assessment is applied to critically revisit the potential, advantages, and challenges of nanocellulose‐enabled ...

One‐Shot Remote Integration of Macromolecular Synaptic Elements on a Chip for Ultrathin Flexible Neural Network System

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel one‐shot integration electropolymerization (OSIEP) method is developed as a breakthrough on the intricate photolithographic steps, enabling to compress all processes from synthesis to channel integration in one‐shot manufacturing. The specially designed dual bipolar electrodes provide the targeted depositions of poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene)

Electron transport in bilayer graphene nano constrictions patterned using AFM nanolithography [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Here we report on low temperature transport measurements of encapsulated bilayer graphene nano constrictions fabricated employing electrode-free AFM-based local anodic oxidation (LAO) nanolithography. This technique allows for the creation of constrictions as narrow as 20 nm much smaller than previous studies.

Rapid Surface Reconstruction of In2S3 Photoanode via Flame Treatment for Enhanced Photoelectrochemical Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid surface reconstruction strategy is proposed to enhance the charge collection efficiency and stability of indium sulfide (In2S3) photoanode via a high‐temperature flame treatment. This method selectively transforms the In2S3 surface into a diffusionless In2O3 and generates bulk sulfur vacancies, resulting in surface‐reconstructed In2S3 (sr‐In2S3)

Optoelectronic Devices for In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The raw data obtained directly from sensors in the noisy analogue domain is often unstructured, which lacks a predefined format or organization and does not conform to a specific data model. Optoelectronic devices for in‐sensor visual processing can integrate perception, memory, and processing functions in the same physical units, which can compress ...

Wrapping permanent cordon arms tightly around the cordon wire negatively impacts vine performance

open access: yesIVES Technical Reviews
In certain winegrowing regions, it is a common practice to wrap canes very tightly around the cordon wire during the establishment of permanent cordon arms.
