Anhedonia: A Construct Validation Approach
Journal of Personality Assessment, 1983Investigated the convergent and discriminant validity of the anhedonia construct using a multivariable-multimethod design. The 100 subjects displayed a wide range of scores on the Physical Anhedonia Scale, many comparable to the original validation sample of diagnosed schizophrenics.

Construct Validity and Content Analysis
Journal of Personality Assessment, 1993We clarify points of agreement and disagreement with Schnurr, Rosenberg, and Oxman, as put forth in their article appearing this issue. Speech samples elicited under different conditions may or may not be interchangeable. This is a matter of empirical research, but it is also dependent upon the meaningfulness of the content categories.

Toward a Construct Validation of the Rorschach
Journal of Personality Assessment, 1980The debate over the validity of the Rorschach has been lengthy but unresolved. Major reasons for the lack of consensus and conclusion are the absence of agreement about, how validation research should be conducted and the failure to identify appropriate criteria for subsequent evaluation.

Validating Mediqual Constructs
2006In this paper, we validate MEDIQUAL constructs through the different media users in help desk service. In previous research, only two end-users’ constructs were used: assurance and responsiveness. In this paper, we extend MEDIQUAL constructs to include reliability, empathy, assurance, tangibles, and responsiveness, which are based on the SERVQUAL ...

Construct validity of an empathy instrument
Research in Nursing & Health, 1981AbstractThe purpose of the study was to determine the construct validity of the Empathy Construct Rating Scale (ECRS), developed as part of a larger investigation. Two procedures were used: (a) Campbell and Fiske's (1959) multitrait–multimethod approach and (b) factor analysis.

Conceptual Complexity and Construct Validity
Journal of Personality Assessment, 2005Despite a century of methodological and conceptual advances in the technology of psychosocial measurement, poor correspondence between indicators and the constructs they are intended to represent remains a limiting factor to the accumulation of scientific knowledge.

The Construct Validity of a Scale of Acquiescence
British Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology, 1966Three independent measures of acquiescence response set, Cattell's 16 PF and the Couch and Keniston short acquiescence scale, OAS(s), were administered to 263 United States airmen. All variables except the OAS(s) were intercorrelated and factored. Estimated correlations were obtained between the factors and the OAS(s) total score and items.

Chapter 8 focuses on threats to construct validity arising from the left-hand side time series and the right-hand side intervention model. Construct validity is limited to questions of whether an observed effect can be generalized to alternative cause and effect measures.
