An Integrated Oxygen‐Supplying Device and Predictive Multiphysics Model for Extended Ambient Transport of Insulin‐Producing Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cell therapies typically rely on cold‐chain logistics and cryopreservation, limiting access and compromising cell quality. Here, a dual‐chamber device separates an oxygen‐supplying chamber from a hyaluronic acid cargo chamber, sustaining oxygen delivery for over 70 h and enabling ambient‐temperature shipment.

Construction Law and Consumer Law

open access: yes, 2017
In a building construction operation, two sets of rules, which are construction law and consumer law,are superimposed to bring a level of protection to the consumer purchaser of real estate. Correlatively, they generate many obligations for the professionals.

Dimensionality‐Driven Interfacial Electronic Coupling in Carbon‐Supported Gd‐CuO Catalysts for Selective CO2 Electroreduction to Ethylene

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The 2D carbon‐supported Gd–CuO exhibits strong interfacial electronic coupling, abundant oxygen vacancies, and highly exposed active sites, enabling efficient CO enrichment and C─C coupling toward selective and durable CO2‐to‐C2H4 conversion. ABSTRACT Copper‐based catalysts are promising for electrochemical CO2 reduction toward value‐added chemicals ...

Constructal law analysis of ion transfer in living cells: normal and cancer behaviour [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Cancer can be modelled as an open, complex, (bio-thermo)dynamic and self-organizing system. Cells are complex thermodynamic systems. The living cells energy transfer, thermo-electro-chemical processes and transports phenomena can occur across their ...

Oligoethylene Glycol Side‐Chain Engineering of Y6‐Derived Nonfullerene Acceptors for Thermally Induced Spontaneous Pseudo‐Planar Heterojunction Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
OEG‐functionalized Y6‐derived acceptors induce thermally driven vertical phase separation, enabling pseudo‐planar heterojunction organic photodetectors. The resulting PM6:YTEG‐4F and PM6:YTEG‐4Cl organic photodetectors suppress dark current density by approximately 260‐fold and 210‐fold, respectively, while maintaining efficient photoresponse ...

Stereometric Molecular Engineering for Ultra‐Stable Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Stereochemical configuration of molecular additives greatly influences interfacial adsorption at the Zn surface. The optimal tilted dual‐anchored adsorption geometry of myo‐inositol constructs a water‐deficient interface and regulates the solvation structure.
