Adsorption‐Engineered Hydrocarbon Ionomers for Durable Proton‐Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrocarbon ionomers suffer from oxidation‐driven interfacial degradation in PEM fuel cell cathodes, leading to catalyst instability. Here, adsorption‐engineered poly(fluorene) ionomers decouple interfacial anchoring from oxidative degradation, enabling strong catalyst–ionomer interactions while resisting electrochemical oxidation.

Business Ownership by Workers: Are Worker Cooperatives a Viable Option? [PDF]

open access: yes
One possible strategy for both succession and new business development is employee ownership. New business formation as an employee-owned firm or cooperative may have some advantages over formation as a sole proprietorship or partnership: pooling ...

Review of Inorganic Separator Engineering for Next‐Generation Lithium–Sulfur Batteries: Compromise or Cornerstone?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inorganic compound‐modified separators transform lithium–sulfur batteries from passive polysulfide confinement to active reaction‐pathway regulation. A Practical Relevance Index (PRI)‐guided framework bridges interfacial chemistry of inorganic separators with practical constraints, establishing unified design principles for scalable, high‐energy ...

South Africa’s new Cooperatives Act: A missed opportunity for small farmers and land reform beneficiaries [PDF]

open access: yes
Agricultural cooperatives are often viewed as appropriate vehicles to facilitate vertical coordination with, or horizontal integration between, small farmers who would otherwise be excluded from value-adding opportunities and discerning markets. In South

Soft Yet Tough Tanglemers Through Rapid Photopolymerization for DLP 3D Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Soft yet tough tanglemers are produced through low‐initiator free radical photopolymerization and translated to DLP 3D printing. Systematic control over light intensity, initiator loading, and crosslink density reveals processing windows that balance printability, elasticity, toughness, and feature fidelity. ABSTRACT Additive manufacturing of compliant

The Transformation of Hungarian Production Cooperatives and Future Consequences [PDF]

open access: yes
This research examines the transformation of Hungarian agricultural production cooperatives. In contrast to early expectations, cooperatives did not experience much membership loss. Rather, the enterprises held together, although they downsized.

Interfacial Failure and Self‐Healing in Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic interfacial self‐healing offers an adaptive route to mitigate coupled mechanical, chemical, and electrochemical degradation in solid‐state batteries. This review connects evolving interfacial failure mechanisms with physical‐flow, chemical‐restoration, stimuli‐responsive, and electric‐field‐assisted repair strategies, highlighting targeted self‐

Measuring the Local Economic Impact of Cooperatives [PDF]

open access: yes
The ability to measure the economic importance of cooperatives to communities is not purely an academic question. Policy makers, cooperative organizations, and community development practitioners are increasingly asking for such information.

The rise of new farmer cooperatives in China; evidence from Hubei Province [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Since the late 1990s, the number of farmer cooperatives in China has rapidly grown. The adoption of the national law on farmer professional cooperatives in 2007 has led to significant governmental support for the establishment and management of farmer ...

Decoding Synergistic Pathways in Bimetallic MOFs for Advanced Oxidation Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review presents a unified framework linking metal pairing and framework design with electronic structure, redox cycling, oxidant activation, reactive‐species generation, and catalytic performance across photocatalytic and oxidant‐based BMOF‐AOPs. The resulting design principles guide the development of hydrolytically stable and efficient BMOFs for
