Frontier Advances of Emerging High‐Entropy Anodes in Alkali Metal‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Recent advances in microscopic morphology control of high‐entropy anode materials for alkali metal‐ion batteries. Abstract With the growing demand for sustainable energy, portable energy storage systems have become increasingly critical. Among them, the development of rechargeable batteries is primarily driven by breakthroughs in electrode materials ...

Evaluation of recreation benefit by household production function approach [PDF]

open access: yes
The travel cost method (TCM) is a revealed preference approach to evaluating the recreation benefit. The traditional application of the TCM is to measure the consumer surplus of recreation sites and activities by calculating the consumer surplus of the ...

Nanothermometry in Living Cells: Physical Limits, Conceptual and Material Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Heat and temperature are fundamental to life. When nanothermometers began probing regions as small as a living cell, they triggered controversial claims of large intracellular temperature gradients. We review physical constraints energy‐conservation, entropy production, thermodynamic fluctuations, and molecular dynamics.

Intrinsic Nanopore‐Assisted SnP2S6 Memristors With Ti Ion Dynamics for Compact Logic‐In‐Memory Hardware

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Tin hexathiophosphate memristors leverage intrinsic nanopores together with a guided filament formation strategy to regulate titanium ion motion and switching behavior. The devices support reliable nonvolatile memory and reconfigurable logic‐in‐memory, demonstrating 14 Boolean logic functions in a single cell.

Comparing Cournot and Bertrand Equilibria in a Differentiated Duopoly with Product R&D [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper compares Bertrand and Cournot equilibria in a differentiated duopoly with substitute goods and product R&D. I find that R&D expenditure, prices and firms net profits are always higher under quantity competition than under price competition ...

Novel Functional Materials via 3D Printing by Vat Photopolymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Perspective systematically analyzes strategies for incorporating functionalities into 3D‐printed materials via Vat Photopolymerization (VP). It explores the spectrum of achievable functionalities in recently reported novel materials—such as conductive, energy‐storing, biodegradable, stimuli‐responsive, self‐healing, shape‐memory, biomaterials, and

Faster Delivery? You May Be Paying a Higher Price than Others!

open access: yesJournal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research
The development of information technology allows firms to access consumer purchase records, enabling them to distinguish between new and old consumers. Firms can then provide these groups with respective product pricing and promised delivery time.
