Visual performance with changes in eccentricity in PROSE device: A case report

open access: yesJournal of Optometry, 2014
This case report describes the variations in visual performance of a subject with moderate keratoconus with changes in front surface eccentricities (FSEs) of PROSE (Prosthetic Replacement of Ocular Surface Ecosystem).

Quantum contact interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The existence of several exotic phenomena, such as duality and spectral anholonomy is pointed out in one-dimensional quantum wire with a single defect. The topological structure in the spectral space which is behind these phenomena is identified.Comment:

Contact seaweeds

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 2022
A ($2k+1$)$-$dimensional contact Lie algebra is one which admits a one-form $φ$ such that $φ\wedge (dφ)^k\ne0$. Such algebras have index one, but this is not generally a sufficient condition. Here we show that index-one type-A seaweed algebras are necessarily contact. Examples, together with a method for their explicit construction, are provided.

Juicebox Provides a Visualization System for Hi-C Contact Maps with Unlimited Zoom.

open access: yesCell Systems, 2016
Hi-C experiments study how genomes fold in 3D, generating contact maps containing features as small as 20 bp and as large as 200 Mb. Here we introduce Juicebox, a tool for exploring Hi-C and other contact map data.

Contact Discontinuities in Models of Contact Binaries Undergoing Thermal Relaxation Oscillations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
In this paper we pursue the suggestion by Shu, Lubow & Anderson (1979) and Wang (1995) that contact discontinuity (DSC) may exist in the secondary in the expansion TRO (thermal relaxation oscillation) state.
