CD8+ T cell memory is sustained in mice by hepatic stellate cells

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
HSC role in memory CD8+ T cell maintenance. Abstract Background and Aims Long‐lasting immunological memory is the ultimate goal of vaccination. Homeostatic maintenance of memory CD8+ cytotoxic T cells (MemCD8TCs) is thought to be mediated by IL‐15/IL‐15R heterodimer (15HD)‐expressing myeloid cells.

Animal models of cisplatin‐induced neuropathic pain

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This article illustrates the modeling process of a cisplatin‐induced neuropathic pain model in rats or mice. Multiple modeling tests are required for rats or mice before, during, and after modeling. The appropriate injection method, dose, and modeling method are selected, and multiple assays are chosen for evaluation and comparison.

Improved Allergy Wheal Detection for the Skin Prick Automated Test Device [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Background: The skin prick test (SPT) is the gold standard for diagnosing sensitization to inhalant allergies. The Skin Prick Automated Test (SPAT) device was designed for increased consistency in test results, and captures 32 images to be jointly used for allergy wheal detection and delineation, which leads to a diagnosis.

Proteomic Profiling of the Large‐Vessel Vasculitis Spectrum Identifying Shared Signatures of Innate Immune Activation and Stromal Remodeling

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Takayasu arteritis (TAK) and giant cell arteritis (GCA), the most common forms of large‐vessel vasculitis (LVV), can result in serious morbidity. Understanding the molecular basis of LVV should aid in developing better biomarkers and treatments. Methods Plasma proteomic profiling of 184 proteins was performed in two cohorts. Cohort 1 included
