Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

Disk Comtact Networks in a Binary Disk System by Photoelasticity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Disk contact networks in binary disk systems under compression were measured by using photoelasticity. Two types of acrylic resin cylinders with diameters of 8 mm or 10mm and a height of 10 mm were used as binary disks, which were packed at random into ...

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Fatigue analysis of catenary contact wires for high speed trains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The fatigue fracture is one of the most critical failures which may occur on the high speed network because it is undetectable and it has a huge impact on traffic disruption.

On the properties of contact binary stars

open access: yes, 2004
We have compiled a catalogue of light curve solutions of contact binary stars. It contains the results of 159 light curve solutions. The properties of contact binary stars were studied using the catalogue data.
As is well known since Lucy's (

Towards a splitter theorem for internally 4-connected binary matroids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This is the post-print version of the Article - Copyright @ 2012 ElsevierWe prove that if M is a 4-connected binary matroid and N is an internally 4-connected proper minor of M with at least 7 elements, then, unless M is a certain 16-element matroid ...

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Photometric Observations of the Contact Binary System V523 Cassiopeiae [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2006
A total of 920 observations (230 in Delta B, 230 in Delta V, 230 in Delta R, 230 in Delta I) for V523 Cas were made on 5 nights from January 6 to 24 in 2003 using the 61cm telescope with 2K CCD camera of the Sobaeksan Optical Astronomy Observatory of ...

The evolution of binary stars into contact states [PDF]

open access: yesSpace Science Reviews, 1989
AbstractGood-quality empirical results on 62 short-period binary stars recently summarised by Hilditch & Bell (1987) and Hilditch, King & McFarlane (1988) are discussed in terms of evolutionary paths from detached to semi-detached and contact states.

Guiding AlphaFold to predict how Munc13‐1 opens Syntaxin‐1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The syntaxin‐1 Habc‐domain (orange), linker (pink) and SNARE motif (yellow) form a closed conformation that binds to Munc18‐1 (violet) and is opened by the Munc13‐1 MUN domain (cyan) to form the SNARE complex that triggers neurotransmitter release.
