The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

Controlling the Field Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) parameters, dwell temperature and cooling rate, significantly influences the microstructural evolution in titanium aluminide GE4822. Significant γ‐lamellar colonies develop only upon cooling through the α‐transus.

Theoretical investigations predict a minimum mass ratio of about 0.085–0.095 for contact binaries. If the mass ratio is below the critical value, a tidal instability occurs, forcing the stars to merge into a single object.

The structure equations of contact binaries [PDF]
The structure equations of contact binaries are discussed. An equation for the transfer of mass between the com- ponents is derived. Serious uncertainties concern only the transfer of energy. They are expressed as unknown functions. An evolution code for contact binaries is presented.

Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection

We present archival Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and JWST ultraviolet through near-infrared time series photometric observations of a massive minimal-contact binary candidate in the metal-poor galaxy Wolf–Lundmark–Melotte ( Z = 0.14 Z _⊙ ).

TV UMi: A Shallowly Eclipsing Marginal-Contact Binary
Using twenty sectors of TESS observations and the hitherto unutilized radial velocities from the David Dunlap Observatory survey, we fully characterize the close binary TV UMi.

Formation and Evolution of Contact Binaries [PDF]
describe a series of processes, including hierarchical fragmentation, gravitational scattering, Kozai cycles within triple systems, tidal friction and magnetic braking, that I believe are responsible for producing the modest but significant fraction of stars that are observed as contact binaries. I also discuss further processes, namely heat transport,

Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance
