Protein–protein interaction at crystal contacts
Proteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, 1995AbstractPacking contacts are crystal artifacts, yet they make use of the same forces that govern specific recognition in protein‐protein complexes and oligomeric proteins. They provide examples of a nonspecific protein‐protein interaction which can be compared to biologically relevant ones.

Contact Lenses and Tear Film Interactions
2002Contact lenses are a successful form of vision correction. However, under certain circumstances adverse inflammatory responses can occur during lens wear. These inflammatory responses can be divided into those that involve the cornea and conjunctiva, and those that are primarily conjunctival.

Asperity Interactions In EHD Contacts
Journal of Lubrication Technology, 1978Infrared temperature measurements, ferrographic analysis, and surface profilimetry were used to monitor asperity interactions in a sliding EHD point contact. The contact temperature and surface profile signals obtained both before and after a run-in period are compared in the frequency domain by means of a Fourier analyzer.

Contact, Interactions, and Dynamics
2012In this short introduction to tip–surface interaction, we focus on the impact of adhesion on the elastic contact of small spherical bodies. Standard notions are first reviewed but more complex contact conditions involving coatings or roughness are also considered. Special attention is devoted to dynamic response and ensuing dissipation.

[Contact interactions of epithelial layers].
Tsitologiia, 1982Cultured together epithelial cells of mouse kidney (line MPTR) were seen to form a mixed cohesive sheet. The mutual interaction of different cells in the sheet was studied by phase contrast microscopy, time-lapse microcinematography, scanning electron microscopy and by some other morphological tests.
