Laser‐Patterned Diamond Electrodes for Adhesion and Proliferation of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Laser patterning is used to create diamond electrodes on insulating diamond substrates. The process yields conductive surfaces with high capacitance, wide water windows, and low impedance. The electrode‐enhancing human mesenchymal stem cell adhesion and growth are nontoxic and promote cell alignment.

Tailoring Self‐Assembled Peptide Hydrogels with Antimicrobial or Cell Adhesive Properties for Tissue Engineering

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This study presents a simple strategy to generate self‐assembling peptide‐based hydrogels by combining sequences that include a SaU and a bioactive motif ‐either cell‐adhesive (RGD) or antimicrobial (LF)‐ with HA. The resulting systems form 3D fibrillar networks that are physicochemically characterized and exhibit selective biological functions ...

Multiplex Cellular Microenvironment Detection Based on Surface‐Enhanced Raman Scattering Patch

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, EarlyView.
A multiplex patch is proposed based on surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) measurement and multivariate curve resolution (MCR) analysis. The gold nanorods (AuNRs) assembly modified on the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) film provides the patch with high sensitivity of SERS detection, and the MCR decomposition realizes the quantification of H2O2 and pH

Exploring the Influence of Carbonaceous Material on the Photocatalytic Performance of the Composites Containing Bi–BiOBr and P25 TiO2 for NOx Remediation

open access: yesChemPhysChem, EarlyView.
Bi/BiOBr/P25 TiO2 composites are synthesized via a solvothermal method incorporating 1 wt% of a carbon‐based material (graphene oxide [GO], graphene, carbon nanotubes, or buckminsterfullerene). The GO–based composite exhibits the highest photocatalytic NOx removal efficiency (≈22% NO and ≈15% NO2) with these synergetic improvements attributed to ...

Containerless emulsification of acoustically levitated composite drop

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
Emulsions are inherently thermodynamically unstable dispersions that are widely involved in food processing, cosmetic preparation, and drug delivery. The existing ultrasonic emulsification techniques mainly rely on the direct contact between the sonicator probe and liquids, which caused localized high temperature and pressure within the liquid and ...
