Basic Speed Ratio of an Angular Contact Bearing
Journal of Lubrication Technology, 1980A characteristic number, the basic speed ratio for an angular contact ball bearing, is defined and shown to be 1) accurately measurable; and 2) dependent on ball-race coupling. Some measurements of basic speed ratio are discussed in terms of kinematic equivalence, and compared with predictions obtained from a computer simulation.

Direct Method of Measuring the Contact Injection Ratio
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1956A direct method of measuring the injection ratio of rectifying contacts is described. With this method, the injection ratio is determined by comparing the area of a current injection pulse with the area of the resulting hole storage pulse as observed on an oscilloscope screen.

2003A class of large deformation contact problems for linear elastic, isotropic bodies exhibiting negative Poisson’s ratio will be considered, Bilateral as well as unilateral contact with friction is analyzed. Essential differences in deformation as well in stress distribution in comparison with conventional materials have been corroborated.
