Statistical properties of contact vectors
We study the statistical properties of contact vectors, a construct to characterize a protein's structure. The contact vector of an N-residue protein is a list of N integers n_i, representing the number of residues in contact with residue i.

Geodesible contact structures on 3–manifolds [PDF]
In this paper, we study and almost completely classify contact structures on closed 3--manifolds which are totally geodesic for some Riemannian metric. Due to previously known results, this amounts to classifying contact structures on Seifert manifolds which are transverse to the fibers.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Non-contact structure solar desalination system for higher depths [PDF]
To address the worldwide issue of water scarcity, prompt action is required. Solar desalination is one potential sustainable solution that could be considered for this problem.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Contact structures on elliptic $3$-manifolds [PDF]
We show that an oriented elliptic 3-manifold admits a universally tight positive contact structure iff the corresponding group of deck transformations on $S^3$ preserves a standard contact structure pointwise. We also relate univerally tight contact structures on 3-manifolds covered by $S^3$ to the exceptional isomorphism $SO(4)=(SU(2)\times SU(2 ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Every contact manifold can be given a non-fillable contact structure
Recently Francisco Presas Mata constructed the first examples of closed contact manifolds of dimension larger than 3 that contain a plastikstufe, and hence are non-fillable.

Fibrations and contact structures [PDF]
We prove that a closed 3‐dimensional manifold is a torus bundle over the circle if and only if it carries a closed nonsingular 1‐form which is linearly deformable into contact forms.
