Contactless energy transfer: Magnetics and acoustics

2017 IEEE International Magnetics Conference (INTERMAG), 2017
Introduction Contactless energy transfer (CET) is used in many applications where a physical connection between a device and a power source is impractical or even impossible.

Resonance based contactless energy transfer

2012 3rd Power Electronics and Drive Systems Technology (PEDSTC), 2012
In this paper, efficiency analysis and design of contactless electric energy transmission systems using inductive method are elaborated. Large leakage inductances of the systems are to be compensated to achieve resonance conditions for maximum efficiency in energy transfer from a launch side to a receiving side where compensating circuits are utilized ...

Contactless Energy Transfer to a Moving Actuator

Conference Record of the 2006 IEEE Industry Applications Conference Forty-First IAS Annual Meeting, 2006
In this paper a new topology for contactless energy transfer is proposed and tested that can transfer energy to a moving actuator using inductive coupling. The proposed topology provides long-stroke contactless energy transfer capability in a plane and a short-stroke movement of a few millimeters perpendicular to the plane.

Model Predictive Control for Contactless Energy Transfer Systems

2020 IEEE PELS Workshop on Emerging Technologies: Wireless Power Transfer (WoW), 2020
In this paper, a novel current and power control method for contactless energy transfer (CET) systems is presented. A variety of CET powered applications, such as charging systems, mandatorily require a changeable transfer power. Usually, the power flow of a fixed frequency CET system is adjusted with the aid of conventional pulse width modulation (PWM)

Comparison of Position-Independent Contactless Energy Transfer Systems

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2013
This paper presents a comparison of position-independent contactless energy transfer systems by means of an inductive coupling, as a solution to overcome moving cables in emerging mechatronic applications with a linear moving load. A 2-D electromagnetic model of the contactless energy transfer system is derived and applied to six different topologies ...
