Containers and containment

Psychodynamic Practice, 2002
This is an account of some of my work with troubled children as a teacher in a mainstream primary, in an offsite unit for excluded young people, in a pupil referral unit and, finally, in a social services centre with education. The examples span fifteen years and the 'therapeutic' work grew out of art and English lessons.

Research on Scheduling the Containers between Container Storage Station and Container Terminal

2015 International Conference on Service Science (ICSS), 2015
In order to effectively improve the efficiency and service level of port logistics, aiming to the scheduling of containers between container storage station and container terminal, this paper first develops a multi-objective scheduling model which attempts to minimize the wait time of ships in port and balance the load of the related logistics resource.

Supervision: A containeræcontained approach

The International Journal of Psychoanalysis, 2001
The authors illustrate an approach to the supervisory process as a learning experience for both supervisee and supervisor built on the containment of unconscious anxieties. Indexed Containers

2009 24th Annual IEEE Symposium on Logic In Computer Science, 2009
We show that the syntactically rich notion of inductive families can be reduced to a core type theory with a fixed number of type constructors exploiting the novel notion of indexed containers. Indexed containers generalize simple containers, capturing strictly positive families instead of just strictly positive types, without having to extend the core

Indexed containers

Journal of Functional Programming, 2015
Abstract We show that the syntactically rich notion of strictly positive families can be reduced to a core type theory with a fixed number of type constructors exploiting the novel notion of indexed containers. As a result, we show indexed containers provide normal forms for strictly positive families in much the same way that ...

Microservices and Containers

2020
Software architecture research needs to address the specific needs and constraints of specific deployment contexts. We propose an architectural style for cloud-deployed software referring to principles and patterns. Patterns map abstract principles to development and deployment platform solution templates Together, principles and patterns link common ...
