Airtightness of shipping containers
Atomic Energy, 2006Questions concerning the airtightness of a shipping container are examined, the choice of constants is validated, and the airtightness of TUK-84/1 is calculated. It is shown that the construction chosen satisfies the requirements for the degree of seal as given in normative documents.

2012Transshipment operations at a maritime container terminal are usually implemented according to the ship-yard-ship cycle. The sojourn time of the containers in the yard is in general sufficiently long to guarantee that the loading and discharging operations can be scheduled independently.
