Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Digital 3D Hologram Generation Using Spatial and Elevation Information
The evolution of cartography poses challenges in representing three-dimensional terrain accurately on traditional two-dimensional maps. Providing an accurate 3D view of the area, coupled with essential geographic information, is vital for rapid and ...

Group-based Learning of Disentangled Representations with Generalizability for Novel Contents [PDF]
Sensory data are often comprised of independent content and transformation factors. For example, face images may have shapes as content and poses as transformation. To infer separately these factors from given data, various ``disentangling'' models have been proposed.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae amino acid transporter Lyp1 has a broad substrate spectrum
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Yeast Amino acid Transporter family members mediate the import of amino acids, ranging from substrate specialists to generalists. Here, we show that the specialist transporter, Lyp1, has a broader substrate spectrum than previously described, with affinity constants spanning from micromolar to millimolar.

Chinese Dialogue Intention Classification Based on Multi-Model Ensemble
In dialogue systems, understanding the user utterances is crucial for providing appropriate responses. A traditional dialogue act classification (DA) task is to classify each user reply into “ACCEPT, REJECT, PROPOSE, and others”.

In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

A Two-Stage Approach to Note-Level Transcription of a Specific Piano
This paper presents a two-stage transcription framework for a specific piano, which combines deep learning and spectrogram factorization techniques. In the first stage, two convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are adopted to recognize the notes of the ...

Interstitial Content Detection [PDF]
Interstitial content is online content which grays out, or otherwise obscures the main page content. In this technical report, we discuss exploratory research into detecting the presence of interstitial content in web pages. We discuss the use of computer vision techniques to detect interstitials, and the potential use of these techniques to provide a ...
