The rate of entrepreneurship in Brazil is increasing, which generates the need to measure this ability in an objective and standardized way. One of the instruments that has been increasingly used in Brazilian research is the "General measure of ...

A necessary condition for incompatibility of observables in general probabilistic theories [PDF]
We quantify the intrinsic noise content of an observable in a general probabilistic theory and derive a noise content inequality for incompatible observables. We apply the derived inequality to standard quantum theory, the quantum theory of processes, and polytope state spaces.

New Similarity Measures of Pythagorean Fuzzy Sets and Their Applications
Similarity measure, as a tool to measure the similarity degree between two objects, is an important research content in fuzzy set theory. Pythagorean fuzzy set, as a new extension of fuzzy set theory, has been widely used in various fields.

An information-oriented paradigm in evaluating accuracy and agreement in radiology
The goal of any radiological diagnostic process is to gain information about the patient’s status. However, the mathematical notion of information is usually not adopted to measure the performance of a diagnostic test or the agreement among readers in ...

Replacing Nothing with Something Special: Contextuality-by-Default and Dummy Measurements [PDF]
The object of contextuality analysis is a set of random variables each of which is uniquely labeled by a content and a context. In the measurement terminology, the content is that which the random variable measures, whereas the context describes the conditions under which this content is measured (in particular, the set of other contents being measured

Model for Estimation of Bounds in Digital Coding of Seabed Images [PDF]
This paper proposes the novel model for estimation of bounds in digital coding of images. Entropy coding of images is exploited to measure the useful information content of the data.
