Shortwave Infrared Light Detection and Ranging Using Silver Telluride Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Post‐synthesis surface engineering and doping control significantly improve the performance of Ag₂Te CQD photodiodes, achieving a low dark current of 450 nA cm−2 at −0.5 V, an LDR exceeding 150 dB, and a rapid response speed of ≈25 ns. A proof‐of‐concept LiDAR demonstration in the SWIR using a nanosecond diode laser, achieves decimetre‐level resolution

Video transmission strategy in multi-rate and multi-node IEEE 802.11 networks

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2017
The video transmission strategy VQCW (video queue contention window) was proposed for video transmission fair problem in multi-rate and multi-node IEEE 802.11 networks. The strategy was based on node queue selective packet drop and contention window ...

Measurement and Analysis of an Online Content Voting Network: A Case Study of Digg [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
Emergence of online content voting networks allows users to share and rate content including social news, photos and videos. The basic idea behind online content voting networks is that aggregate user activities (e.g., submitting and rating content) makes high-quality content thrive through the unprecedented scale, high dynamics and divergent quality ...

Revealing Trapped Carrier Dynamics at Buried Interfaces in Perovskite Solar Cells via Infrared‐Modulated Action Spectroscopy with Surface Photovoltage Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new spectroscopy technique (i.e., pump‐push‐surface photovoltage) is introduced that monitors trapped carrier dynamics at the buried interfaces in perovskite solar cells (PeSCs) via combining optical trap activation by infrared light with surface photovoltage detection.

Co-evolution of Content Popularity and Delivery in Mobile P2P Networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
Mobile P2P technology provides a scalable approach to content delivery to a large number of users on their mobile devices. In this work, we study the dissemination of a \emph{single} content (e.g., an item of news, a song or a video clip) among a population of mobile nodes.

A Sustainable Route From Quartz to Bifunctional Material with Adsorbed Lanthanides for Enhanced Fluorescent Activation in Doxycycline Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 8, April 21, 2025.
The aim of this study is to develop a sensor material based on natural quartz combined with La(III) and Ce(III), both detected in Ni‐MH batteries, as well as Eu(III), for reliable qualitative and quantitative analysis of doxycycline over a broad concentration range.

ARS: An Adaptive Retransmission Scheme for Contention-Based MAC Protocols in Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2015
Due to the limited capacity and high propagation delay of underwater communication channels, contention-based media access control (MAC) protocols suffer from a low packet delivery ratio (PDR) and a high end-to-end (E2E) delay in underwater acoustic ...

Secure Fragmentation for Content-Centric Networks (extended version) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Content-Centric Networking (CCN) is a communication paradigm that emphasizes content distribution. Named-Data Networking (NDN) is an instantiation of CCN, a candidate Future Internet Architecture. NDN supports human-readable content naming and router-based content caching which lends itself to efficient, secure, and scalable content distribution ...
