Analyzing multi-channel medium access control schemes with aloha reservation [PDF]
— In order to improve the throughput performance of Medium Access Control (MAC) schemes in wireless communication networks, some researchers proposed to divide a single shared channel into several sub-channels: one as control subchannel and the others as

The Politics of Framing the Student Problem: Inquiries Into Australian Civics Education, 2006–2024
ABSTRACT Recurring debates about civics, the kinds of history that should, and should not, be taught in school, and ‘standards debates’ about the ‘basics’ typically follow on the heels of recurring moral panics about the ‘declining’ state of ‘our’ education system.

The complexity of resolving conflicts on MAC [PDF]
We consider the fundamental problem of multiple stations competing to transmit on a multiple access channel (MAC). We are given $n$ stations out of which at most $d$ are active and intend to transmit a message to other stations using MAC.

ABSTRACT In Australia, governments fund Community Legal Centres (CLCs) as part of the legal assistance sector (LAS) to meet the ‘legal needs’ of people experiencing disadvantage who cannot afford private legal services. Persistent unmet demand for CLCs is well‐documented. As artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly used in private legal practice to

Glioblastoma mortality is driven by cell invasion and therapeutic resistance. We report a cancer engineering approach to evaluate the behavior of heterogeneous cohorts of temozolomide resistant and responsive GBM cells. We show the effect of physiologically‐relevant metronomic dosing on ensemble drug response and invasion.

Adaptive Centralized Random Access for Collision Free Wireless Local Area Networks
Packet collisions caused by the standard Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) protocol in wireless local area networks (WLANs) have been a challenging problem leading to congestion and reduced throughput.

Work Versus Force: Simultaneous Processes for Describing Interactions
ABSTRACT Achieving a unified description of interactions remains an open challenge in theoretical physics, which currently describes four fundamental forces. This situation may be viewed differently when interactions are formulated in terms of processes (work as actio) rather than forces (force as actio), not only at the macroscopic level but also at ...
