Enhancing the Selection of Backoff Interval Using Fuzzy Logic over Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2015
IEEE 802.11 is the de facto standard for medium access over wireless ad hoc network. The collision avoidance mechanism (i.e., random binary exponential backoff—BEB) of IEEE 802.11 DCF (distributed coordination function) is inefficient and unfair ...

Ion Crowding Effect in Unilaterally Downsized Perovskite Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The downscaling of perovskite memristors incorporating monocrystalline nanoplates is accompanied by an ion crowding effect, which greatly enhances the local electric field in the vicinity of electrode. The highly controlled crowding of anions and vacancies results in anisotropic switching characteristics as well as unique morphology modification ...

Probabilistic Model Checking: One Step Forward in Wireless Sensor Networks Simulation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2015
A novel collision resolution algorithm for wireless sensor networks is formally analysed via probabilistic model checking. The algorithm called 2CS-WSN is specifically designed to be used during the contention phase of IEEE 802.15.4. Discrete time Markov

PAIR: Reconstructing Single‐Cell Open‐Chromatin Landscapes for Transcription Factor Regulome Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
scATAC‐seq analysis is often constrained by limited sequencing depth, extreme sparsity, and pervasive technical missingness. PAIR is a probabilistic framework that restores scATAC‐seq accessibility profiles by directly modeling the native cell–peak bipartite structure of chromatin accessibility.

Breaking the Durability–Power Trade‐Off: Boron‐Directed Faceted O3 Cathodes for High‐Rate Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Boron‐oxide‐assisted particle engineering stabilizes O3‐type layered cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries by mitigating phase transitions and lattice strain. Acting as flux and structural modifier, boron forms submicron hexagonal platelets with (003) facets and expanded Na‐layer spacing, enabling rapid Na⁺ diffusion and mechanical resilience.

Stability of Perovskite Indoor Photovoltaics: A Focused Review and a Call for Standardized Stability Reporting

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
While perovskite solar cells have been widely studied, including their stability, perovskite indoor photovoltaics (IPVs) have only recently emerged. Nevertheless, more studies are appearing in the literature. The systematic stability study of IPVs is crucial, particularly given the inconsistencies in reported methodologies and results, which call for ...
