Biotropica, Volume 58, Issue 2, March 2026.Restoration was more associated with environmental variables than socioeconomics. Active restoration was utilized in degraded areas and pasture abandonment favored natural regeneration. Successful tropical restoration is dependent on a complex interdependent mix of factors.
