On the closure of relational models
Relational models for contingency tables are generalizations of log-linear models, allowing effects associated with arbitrary subsets of cells in a possibly incomplete table, and not necessarily containing the overall effect. In this generality, the MLEs

Aberrant Splicing Signatures Underpin Oligodendrocyte Damage in ALS and Neuron Loss in FTD
Integrating bulk and single‐nucleus RNA‐seq from ALS and FTD patients, we revealed distinct cellular dysfunctions, with severe oligodendrocyte damage in ALS and pronounced neuron loss in FTD. We identified cell‐type‐specific aberrant splicing events as potential biomarkers with robust classification performance, some of which produce de novo peptides ...

Discovery of SKP2‐Recruiting PROTACs for Target Protein Degradation
Based on the SKP2‐targeting ligand SL1, we designed non‐covalent PROTACs by linking it with the BRD4 inhibitor JQ1 and the AR antagonist AL through a linker. These PROTACs successfully induced the ubiquitination of BRD4 and AR, followed by proteasome‐mediated degradation.

The functional schematic diagram of tumor associated neutrophils. Abstract Enhancing cervical cancer (CC) immunotherapy requires deciphering the heterogeneous tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), particularly neutrophil phenotypic dynamics. Here, 1) we collected 543 CC cases to find that patients with elevated neutrophil levels have a higher incidence

Primjena tetrahoričkog i polihoričkog koeficijenta korelacijeu verifikaciji prognoza [PDF]
The measure of association in 2 x 2 (K x K) contingency tables known as tetrachoric (polychoric) correlation coefficient is recalled. These measures rely on two assumptions: 1) there exist continuous latent variables underlying the contingency table and ...

This study generates high‐fidelity synthetic longitudinal records for a million‐patient diabetes cohort, successfully replicating clinical predictive performance. However, deeper analysis reveals algorithmic biases and trajectory inconsistencies that escape standard quality metrics. These findings challenge current validation norms, demonstrating why a

A measure of association (correlation) in nominal data (contingency tables), using determinants [PDF]
Nominal data currently lack a correlation coefficient, such as has already defined for real data. A measure is possible using the determinant, with the useful interpretation that the determinant gives the ratio between volumes. With M a m × n contingency

Bayes factors and the geometry of discrete hierarchical loglinear models
A standard tool for model selection in a Bayesian framework is the Bayes factor which compares the marginal likelihood of the data under two given different models.
