State Estimation of an Underwater Markov Chain Maneuvering Target Using Intelligent Computing

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
In this study, an application of deep learning-based neural computing is proposed for efficient real-time state estimation of the Markov chain underwater maneuvering object.

Investigating Phase Separation in Genome Folding via Multiscale Computational Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation is emerging as a multiscale organizing principle of genome folding across scales, from nucleosomes and transcriptional condensates to chromatin domains and nuclear compartments. By integrating physics‐based simulations with data‐driven inference, computational modeling now links molecular interactions to nuclear architecture and points

Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.

Performance enhancement of steady-state Markov analysis for cognitive radio networks via channel reservation

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2017
Cognitive radio wireless networks CRNs have been considered as an efficient communication paradigm to the utilization of scarce spectrum. The main purpose of channel reservation of dynamic spectrum access (DSA) is to access these idle channels ...

The Geography of Success: A Spatial Analysis of Export Intensity in the Italian Wine Industry

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the paradox of how Italy's fragmented, SME‐dominated wine industry achieves global export success. Moving beyond purely firm‐centric explanations, we test whether export intensity is spatially dependent, clustering geographically in regional ecosystems.

Flow Faster: Efficient Decision Algorithms for Probabilistic Simulations [PDF]

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science, 2008
Strong and weak simulation relations have been proposed for Markov chains, while strong simulation and strong probabilistic simulation relations have been proposed for probabilistic automata.

Sequential Monte Carlo with likelihood tempering and parallel implementation for uncertainty quantification

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Bayesian estimation enables uncertainty quantification, but analytical implementation is often intractable. As an approximate approach, the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method is widely used, though it entails a high computational cost due to frequent evaluations of the likelihood function.

A Binary-State Continuous-Time Markov Chain Model for Offshoring and Reshoring

open access: yesAxioms
We present a two-country model (North and South) that describes the phenomenon of offshoring and reshoring. The model is a continuous time-controlled Markov chain with binary states.

A Stochastic Cobweb Dynamical Model

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2008
We consider the dynamics of a stochastic cobweb model with linear demand and a backward-bending supply curve. In our model, forward-looking expectations and backward-looking ones are assumed, in fact we assume that the representative agent chooses the ...

Petri net analysis of a queueing inventory system with orbital search by the server

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2023
In this article, a queueing inventory system with finite sources of demands, retrial demands, service time, lead time, (s,S)\left(s,S) replenishment policy, and demands search from the orbit was studied.
