Robust Bernoulli Mixture Models for Credit Portfolio Risk

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 36, Issue 3, Page 528-543, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper presents comparison results and establishes risk bounds for credit portfolios within classes of Bernoulli mixture models, assuming conditionally independent defaults that are stochastically increasing in a common risk factor. We provide simple and interpretable conditions on conditional default probabilities that imply a comparison ...

Parameter Variation in Planetary Ball Milling of Titanium Aluminide Powder in XHV‐Adequate Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 12, 17 June 2026.
This study investigates the effects of milling parameters, including rotational speed, milling duration, and ball‐to‐powder ratio, on TiAl particle size and morphology in an XHV‐equivalent atmosphere. The creation of oxide‐free surfaces enhances the mechanical properties of green bodies.

Structural Modulation of Magnetic Softness in Fe‐Based Amorphous Alloys via Pulse Current Training

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Fe‐based amorphous alloys, despite their intrinsically low magnetocrystalline anisotropy, suffer from quasi‐dislocation dipoles and localized stress fields that impede domain‐wall motion and increase coercivity. Here, we introduce pulse current training (PCT) as an energy‐efficient technique to overcome these limitations in a Fe76Si9B10P5 ...

Norm-closed intervals of norm-complete ordered abelian groups

open access: yes, 1997
International audienceLet $(G,u)$ be an archimedean norm-complete dimension group with order unit. Continuing a previous paper, we study intervals (i.e., nonempty upward directed lower subsets) of $G$ which are closed with respect to the canonical norm ...

Clean Up Behind You ‐ Novel Patterning Approach for Solid Immersion Lenses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 36, 4 May 2026.
A focused ion beam (FIB) milling strategy enables rapid fabrication of solid immersion lenses (SILs) with smooth, debris‐free surfaces eliminating the need for post‐processing. The optimized pattern improves efficiency and surface quality. SILs containing NV centers are also investigated, confirming the technique's suitability for quantum and photonic ...

On the stability of orthogonal bases in non-archimedean metrizable locally convex spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
It is proved that an orthogonal basis in a non-archimedean metrizable locally convex space E (in particular, a Schauder basis in a non-archimedean Frechet space E) is stable if and only if there is a continuous norm on E.

Finding close T-indistinguishability operators to a given proximity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Two ways to approximate a proximity relation R (i.e. a reflexive and symmetric fuzzy relation) by a T-transitive one where T is a continuous archimedean t-norm are given.

Clinically Deployable Handwriting Biomarkers of Parkinson's Disease via Multiscale Attention and Bayesian–Genetic Optimization

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
Tablet‐based handwriting tasks (spiral, meander, and wave) are transformed into unified images and analyzed using PD‐MGMA‐DSCNN, a lightweight multiscale gated attention network. Bayesian–genetic optimization improves performance, while SHAP attribution maps provide interpretable handwriting biomarkers for Parkinson's disease screening.

Every non-normable non-archimedean Köthe space has a quotient without the bounded approximation property

open access: yes, 2004
It is proved that any non-archimedean non-normable Fréchet space with a Schauder basis and a continuous norm has a quotient without the bounded approximation property.

Pole‐To‐Pole 3D Radial Trajectory Designs Improve Image Quality and Quantitative Parametric Mapping in the Brain and Heart

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 5, Page 2627-2643, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To design 3D radial spiral phyllotaxis trajectories aimed at removing phase inconsistencies, improving image quality, and enhancing parametric mapping accuracy by acquiring nearly opposing spokes starting from both hemispheres in 3D radial k‐space. Methods Two 3D radial trajectories, pole‐to‐pole and continuous spiral phyllotaxis, were
