Evolution of bonding mechanism and fracture mechanism of Ti alloy-steel joint by dual-beam laser welding using Mg-RE (RE=Gd, Y) filler

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
In this paper, a novel coaxial continuous-pulsed dual-beam laser was proposed to join TC4 titanium alloy with QP980 high-strength steel, and magnesium alloy containing rare-earth elements (Mg-RE) was creatively as filler.

CONTINUOUS BEAMS WITH NON-UNIFORM STIFFNESS

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 1953
In this paper, the method of continued fraction is used for the determination of the bending moments of a continuous beam with non-uniform stiffness.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Shaped Beam Synthesis of Origami Reflectarray Antennas with Crease Constraints

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Creases in origami reflectarray antennas (ORAs) impose layout exclusion zones that invalidate conventional shaped beam synthesis, assuming continuous periodic apertures.

Demonstration of an All‐Optical AND Gate Mediated by Photochromic Molecules

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A logic AND gate that runs on photons is demonstrated. It relies on two spatially separated photochromic molecules that work in tandem. Abstract The realization of a photonic logic AND gate, i.e. a logic AND gate that runs on photons rather than electrons, and where all steps are controlled by light, is demonstrated. In a proof‐of‐principle experiment,
